I took a break from college to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was put on a plane to Detroit and didn't come back for 2 years. When I did return, I had a knowledge of what is most important, lots of new friends and 3 full sketchbooks.

Back at BYU, I changed my major to Illustration. I had great teachers and learned alongside of some very great people.

In 1992 I made the best decision of my life and got married to JoAnn. After we both graduated, we moved to Sacramento where there was no snow and some family close by. I work full-time as an illustrator and I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to draw and get paid.

We have been blessed with 4 terrific kids; 3 boys and a girl. Life just gets better and better!

I was born many years ago, back when it was perfectly ok for guys to dress in velour.

My growing up years were spent in a small desert town called Blanding, Utah. I learned how to use my imagination to keep myself occupied. And I learned how to work with others (6 brothers and sisters). I spent most of my summers fishing and I did a lot of drawing; so thought I would try it as a career (drawing, not fishing).

I attended college at Brigham Young University where I learned a lot about myself, among other things. I started as an Art major and made as many mistakes as I could in 2 semesters.
